I joined my first artist residency program in Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park (@air_sccp) on November 2023. It was unforgettable experience to be able to work on my own ceramic practice deeply in Shigaraki where is one of japans most important ceramic destinations.
I had originally planned on coming here back in 2020 but life had other plans… I’m so grateful that I finally made it here! I can’t be more thankful for the amazing support from the staff, all the inspiring artists around my working space, and my family who came along with me.
Mother land, Mother tongue, soul food, I’m deeply comfortable to be back in my home

2023年11月、滋賀県立陶芸の森でのアーティストインレジデンスに参加しました。
こんなにも素材の変化に寄り添いながら、産地の産業を学びながらそれを汲み取りながら朝から深夜まで制作に集中することができたのは本当に久しぶりで、本来なら2020年にここに来ているはずでしたが、こうして時を経て実現することができ、スタッフの皆さん、周りで刺激をくれる作家の皆さん、滞在の間協力してくれた家族には感謝しかないです。
今回の滞在制作では色も質も違う様々な土を繋いだ作品に挑戦することができました。ありがとうございました！
